A week of emptiness
It's a long, unpleasant week, confined to the Official's office, draped uselessly across a bed. Utterly hollow. Your blood has settled uncomfortably below the knees.
Finally, a knock at the door. Your organs are returned, alongside the results of the audit – you are, indeed, alive. An official inquiry will take place to discover the source of the error. "Wouldn't it be a shame if these got put back in the wrong places?" says the Official, rifling through the damp little parcels. "What? Don't look at me like that, I'm joking, I'm joking!"
