Story description[]
The Queen's courtiers carry the sword and the minute-hand away. You are told that the final reforging will only take a few hours. "They won't be happy when I tell them I'm leaving," remarks the Queen. "They'll just be animals again." Did you miss something? She pauses delicately. "I'd like to come with you this time. Hang me somewhere nice. Don't just stick me in the cargo."

Once the Minute to Midnight has been reforged, you order your crew to carry her aboard and hang her in the corridor outside your quarters.

A new officer
Your crew seem unaccountably reluctant to introduce themselves to the Unseen Queen once she's been salvaged from the dump. They're even less enthused when you tell them she's a First Officer. The swabbie is so shocked he almost drops her.
"But captain—" he protests, turning to stare at you. You tell him to focus on the job at hand. She's hanging a little crooked.
