Butchery is a skill in Sunless Skies.
Obtaining[]
Unlike your Captain's four main skills, Butchery cannot be increased through Facets or Officers. Instead it is temporarily increased by having certain Modules applied to your Locomotive. Removing the Module will once again lower your Butchery skill.

Usage[]
On defeating certain Sky-Beasts, there will be the option to obtain Supplies from the corpse using your Butchery skill.
You also need Butchery to catch Squirmings, which are marked on the chart as "Something to Crave" and appear as a cluster of tentacles emerging from the mist.
There are currently no known benefit to having a skill level greater than 1.
