Background

Curdled soul flaw is one of the 7 failings of the soul the captain can obtain while exploring the Sunless Skies. This soul flaw, like all the other flaws, can be cured in Carillon.

Obtaining

The Curdled soul flaw can be obtained by:

• Mingle with the West-Enders at The Procession of the Red Saint event in Port Prosper. This event only occurs the first time you Explore the port.
• Completing the initiation quest for the Brazen Brigade in Eleutheria.

Therefore, if you are attempting to acquire a Soul a Devil Wouldn't Touch, you are best advised to choose one of the origins which starts off with a Curdled soul. (Those origins are any urchin-gang, a soldier in the Commissariat, a poet of the Sovereign school, a priest who answered to their parishoners, or an auditor in the Department of Sensibility).

Curing

The Curdled soul flaw can be cured at the Chequerboard Garden in Carillon, and will yield the captain 500 Experience points as well as 2 Savage Secrets. Curing the affliction will cost the captain 5 Penance.

The Curdled soul flaw can be cured at the The House of Days in The Blue Kingdom in exchange for the permanent loss of 1 Iron.

• It's possible the total number of Soul flaws (7), as well as the total number of floors in the Carillon (7) is intentionally corresponding to the number of 7 mortal sins. Curdled likely corresponds to the sin of Envy.
