The indignant tap of a talon at your cabin window. Your owl is back. It's found something. Your owl fixes you with a monocular glare. It found something. It did not like it. Your owl has returned and is menacing its least favourite stoker. You tell it to report in. Your owl reports back, then glares at you. It's done its job; why aren't you doing yours? Your owl returns, its wings rimed with frost. Once you've promised it a steam bath, it delivers its report. Your owl's gaze is baleful as it delivers its report. It is not pleased you made it go outside.

Indignant hooting. Your owl found nothing, and doesn't appreciate you wasting its time. Your owl returns and fixes you with a reproachful glare, as if it's your fault that it hasn't found anything. Your owl settles on your bedpost and goes to sleep. Nothing to report, then.
