Story description[]
The Studious Forged Companion is explaining something complex to a signaller. "So you see," they say, gesturing towards a blackboard, "when all variables are taken into account, your chances of surviving your full tenure aboard this locomotive are tiny."
Incensed, the signaller turns to you. "This is outrageous!" they splutter. "I'm not lifting another finger until you properly compensate me for the risk I'm taking."
