Hold is a Locomotive statistic defining how many items you can carry, and the name of the tab displaying your current locomotive, prospects and cargo.
Hold Window[]
Locomotive[]
To view your Hold, click the on the lower menu, or press H.
The window will display your locomotive's name, type and appearance, and allow you to view, add or remove modules.
Below the image are three small icons. By hovering over them you can see:
Your locomotive's "Armour" (maximum
Hull value)
Your locomotive's Hold value (maximum Hold space)
Your locomotive's Quarters (maximum
Crew capacity)
Your locomotive's Fuel consumption (affected by Weight)
The base value for each statistic is shown in white, with any buffs shown in green.
For example, if your locomotive's usual Hold value is 15 and it has two Additional Cargo Bays applied at +5 Hold each, the total value would be shown as
15 +10
Current Prospects[]
Any Prospects that you have picked up but not yet completed will be shown here on this tab.
You can also cancel any Prospect by clicking on it, and choosing to "Abandon Prospect" on the pop-up confirmation.
Your Hold[]
The contents of your hold, and a bar showing how much space you have left, are shown at the bottom of the tab. Each individual item is shown as a separate icon, rather than stacking with similar items.
Cargo and unequipped Modules both take up hold space, but Possessions do not.
Your current number of items and your total hold space can also be seen at any time in the top-left by the Fuel and Supplies gauges, beside the Hold icon.
If you ever exceed the available space while in the sky, you will be prompted to jettison extra cargo. Your journey will only continue when your number of items no longer exceeds the maximum available space.
You can also jettison items from your Hold at any time, by viewing the window and clicking the Jettison icon on the right-hand side of the bar showing the Hold capacity.
