- [3] In order to retrieve the Cloak, you will need to pay tribute before the great antlers at Pan; or alternatively, somehow collect it from the precarious weather-vane

- [1] You ride until your destrier is sheened with sweat, forcing you to stop by a stream and dismount. As it drinks, you unbuckle your armour and rest in the shade of an apple tree.\n\n\"An excellent horse. You ride it too hard.\" \n\nA wizened old hermit has appeared beside your horse, stroking its heaving flanks. \"You seek the Cloak of the Lion, yes? I can guide you to its location, if you confess your sins.\"
- [2] You follow the shuffling hermit up a hillside, your boots sinking into the mud. Thunder rumbles. Lightning splits the sky.\n\nAt the hilltop you find yourself standing beside a gorge so deep you cannot see the bottom. It's far too wide to leap; the only crossing-point is a bridge.\n\n\"The cloak lies across the Falchion Bridge,\" says the hermit. \"Only a worthy quester may cross without slicing himself in two.\""
- [3] Across the Falchion Bridge, a pair of enormous antlers rise like totems from the mud. They are easily three times as tall as you. Tangled at their tip is a bundle of cloth. The Cloak of the Lion.\n\nBut the antlers are impossible to climb. They burn your fingers at the touch, as though made of flame.\n\nWith dread certainty, you know what must be done. An offering must be made.

- [1] You stand beside the stream, occasionally double-checking the number of moons. The stray cat curls up beside you and falls asleep. You have no real idea where to go from here.
- [2] The walls have crumbled away at the tower's top. A scything wind scours your flesh. The cat shivers by your side.\n\nThe other tower lies far across from you, and you can see a bundle of cloth tangled in a weather-vane. Could that be the cloak?\n\nUnfortunately, the only way to cross from this tower to the other is a narrow wooden beam, half-rotted, sagging with damp. The forest floor is hundreds of feet below.
- [3] You've reached the top of the second tower. It seems, somehow, even less stable than the first. With every gust of wind, it sways.\n\nA dirty old flag of indeterminate origin is tangled in the upper reaches of a rusted, tilting weather-vane. Is this really the cloak that the Queen sent you to collect?\n\nTo retrieve it, you'll have to climb out above a dizzyingly precipitous drop.
