Ask them to leave your vessel immediately
You wish this to be over quickly.
A graceful departure
The Poetic Forged Companion(Name)Studious Forged Companion(Name)Pugilistic Forged Companion(Name)Illusive Forged Companion(Name) Forged Companion blithely makes their way to the hatch. "It is best if I open it myself," they remark as you reach for the fastenings. "If you do it, you will put yourself at risk of frostbite."

You stand aside, and the Companion opens the hatch just wide enough to slip out, pulling it closed behind them. You watch through the window as they drift off into the Wilderness. A patina of frost spreads over their leathery skin. It twinkles delightfully as they spin away from your engine.

At last, you are free! The possibilities of a life without them stretch out before you. You might even forge a new companion.

Game note: This choice is irreversible.

Take your Companion apart, piece by piece
It is the only way you can be certain never to see them again.
At least there is no struggle

Game note: This choice is irreversible.

Ask your Companion if there is somewhere they wish to go
Somewhere not here, that is. You must be insistent on the point.
A destination
"Are you familiar with the Nowhere Inn?" asks the Poetic Forged Companion. "I have heard the crew speak of it – it is an establishment at Port Avon, in possession of a fine collection of literature. The clientele must be cultured; perhaps they would appreciate an author in residence. If you wish to end our association, I will alight there. After all—" the Companion, fixing you with a An Entrancing Companion(Ridding)An Unnerving Companion(Ridding) stare, "—I only wish to be useful. Until you take me there, I will continue to serve aboard your locomotive."

"Are you familiar with Achlys?" asks the Pugilistic Forged Companion. "I have heard the crew speak of it – it would seem there is a power struggle afoot there. Someone must have use for a skilled fighter. If you wish to end our association, I will alight there. "Are you familiar with Polmear and Plenty's Inconceivable Circus?" asks the Illusive Forged Companion. "Someone – I presume a member of the crew – pushed this poster under my door. Most thoughtful." The Companion hands you a poster advertising the circus, ignoring the obscenity that the crew member has scrawled across the big top. "Perhaps the circus has need of a skilled illusionist," the Companion continues. "If you wish to end our association, I will alight there. After all—" the Companion, fixing you with a An Entrancing Companion(Ridding)An Unnerving Companion(Ridding) stare, "—I only wish to be useful. On second thoughts, the Companion can stay
You created them, and accept them as they are.
Nothing will change, for now

Game note: You can still rid yourself of the Companion at a later date.
