A short, bloody affair
You make a move for your gun, and the Industrialist fires his. You feel a sudden blow to the chest, and when you look down, there is a blossoming red stain.
As you fall to the floor, your alarmed crew burst through the door. The last thing you hear is gunfire. When you wake up, you find yourself back at the engine, your limbs stiff and bandages shrouding you from head to toe. You've been in a coma for a month. Several crew died recovering your wounded body.

A short, bloody affair
Your pistol cracks once, twice. The first gunshot barely registers. The second knocks the Industrialist down, gun tumbling from his hand.
The Industrialist didn't fear death, but his hired thugs certainly do, especially with their paymaster dead on the floor. When you point the pistol in their direction, they retreat. There's nothing left but to order your crew into the suddenly-quiet mansion to collect the Lost Love from her room.

Try to calm him down
It may not be possible.
|
|
Deaf ears
Your words are useless. The Industrialist cocks his pistol and jabs it alarmingly in your direction. He cannot be reasoned with, not in this state; you will have to try another approach.
|
|
Allow him to keep the Lost Love
The Arbiter of Fates will not be happy, but what is there to do?
|
|
A peaceful end
The Industrialist lowers his pistol. His whole body is shaking, and he is covered in a sheen of sweat.
"I thought I would have to shoot you to protect her," he murmurs. "I'm many things, but I'm not a killer. Thank you for not making me one." He gestures to one of his men. A clinking purse is dropped at your feet. "Consider this severance pay," says the Industrialist. "I never want to see you again."

|
Pretend to acquiesce, then return in the night with your crew
You'd rather not suffer the consequences of the Arbiter's wrath.

A bloody conclusion
You agree to leave in peace and never return. The Industrialist seems relieved not to have to kill you.
The next evening you return with your crew and break onto the premises with the aid of a crowbar. Everything goes perfectly, right up until you surprise the Industrialist while he's wandering the halls in his nightgown. The Industrialist pulls a pistol and begins firing into your crew. Someone falls, groaning. Your crew fire back and the Industrialist falls dead, a red hole in his throat. You take the Lost Love from his cellar. She will be returned to the Blue Kingdom where she belongs.

A daring heist
You agree to leave in peace and never return. The Industrialist seems relieved not to have to kill you. His burly hirelings grab you by the scruff of your shirt and haul you out onto the street.
The next evening you return with your crew, a crowbar, a set of lockpicks, a grappling hook, and a fortunately-unnecessary bottle of chloroform. You take the Lost Love from his cellar. She will be returned to the Blue Kingdom where she belongs.
