It dominates the landing like your aunt at a dinner party. You can hear giggling coming from within.

Embark on an expedition into Langley Hall
You'll need to keep your crew in line.

You wander through empty hallways and disused bathrooms. Bedchambers where never has a soul slept begin to wear on the crew. They follow your example, but your pace is too much for some. Progress slows. You are forced to turn back, lest you begin to lose men as well as morale. Still, your charts of the Hall have been expanded somewhat.

Emerging in light
You march your crew as quick as you're able through the long winding passages of Langley Hall. You ably spelunk shattered stairways, crawl through secret passages in the walls, emerge blinking in candlelit bedrooms where all manner of parties are being held. The breaks for enjoyment improve morale, and double your speed. Your map expands, and when you return to the Hallowed Hallway, you find you've supplies left over.

Keeping morale up will be vital. Your crew must trust you.

In dusty chamber lost
You make progress through the dusty stairwells and forgotten chambers of Langley Hall (if they were ever known at all). You meet very few other souls on the landings. The hallways run on endlessly, and your crew begin to explain of hunger and claustrophobia. You make your way back, your charts of the Hall slightly expanded.
Successful event
In candlelight
You lead your crew through lamplit hallways, up stone staircases and down hidden back passages. You meet exiled duchesses, take tea with priests, and swap stories with fellow spelunkers on the landings. When you arrive back in the Hallowed Hallway, you find you've been away for less time than you'd thought. Your chart of the Hall is expanded and some of your supplies remain.

Distractions, temptations
Your crew return, slightly reduced in number. There were diversions, a navigator explains. A duchess in a bathtub, a revel in a disused garret, a masqued ball in a conservatory. Some realised they'd prefer the safety of the Hall than the darkness beyond. Still, your navigator has kept a map of their progress. You update your charts accordingly.

A tale to remember
Your crew return, flush with tales of guests met by chance on landings; of humorous encounters between your more hapless crew and beauties met by candlelight in the attics or the cellars. A navigator has made a map of their progress; new passages found, routes through the labyrinth of stairwells.
